In typical tight-lipped fashion, casual game juggernaut PopCap has announced a new game in Plants vs Zombies II.

The sequel to 2010′s successful tower defense title, which is vaguely slated for release in late Spring 2013, will purportedly feature the requisite multitude of new features, characters, and settings required for a substantial release.

Though these details haven’t been announced yet, fans of the casual game franchise should expect to see Plants vs Zombies II on Xbox Live Arcade, PC/Mac, and Playstation Network, as well as mobile operating devices and tablets.
